Why are sim only upgrade offers more expensive than SIM only contracts on uSwitch?


I've just been looking on uSwitch at SIM only contracts. I have seen that iD are offering me more expensive contracts through the app as an upgrade than what's available with iD on uSwitch. 

 

Is there any way I can keep my number and get the same offers that are available through uSwitch? Some examples are a 1 month 108GB data contract for £9pm. 

 

If I look a similar offer on the iD app, I'm looking at a higher price than this.

@AdamJW93  One way round this is to port your current IDMobile number onto a PAYG sim for a month onto another network.  Take up this new offer and port your original number back on to IDMobile after the month on PAYGO.

Thanks for the reply. I'm aware that you can do that but it seems like a faff. I don't understand why the offers available on the app aren't the same as those available on uSwitch. They're not through a resale site, they are through iD. Thanks.

Sometimes new customers get better deals than existing unfortunately. Have a look at the SIM only upgrades on mobiles.co.uk

Hello. 

 

Thanks for the replies everyone. 

 

I spoke to iD upgrades and got a fantastic deal on a new SIM Only plan. I got 60GB £8pm on a 12 month contract with an Unlimited Data loyalty add on. I really can't complain about that.
