Can I keep my old number when switching to iD Mobile?

When you switch to iD Mobile, you can choose to keep your current number or get a new one. We’ll also notify your previous network to close your account, so you won’t be charged for two plans. Check out this Community article for more helpful information.

Will I be credit checked?

Yes, we’ll need to run a quick credit check when you sign up for a Pay Monthly Phone or SIM Only Deal with us. If you purchase a Pay as you Go plan, no credit check is required. Check out this Community article for more helpful information.

What do I need to bring to a Currys store?

If you’re purchasing a Pay Monthly Phone or SIM Only Deal in-store, you’ll need to bring a Bank Card in your name to perform a Chip & PIN check and to set up your Direct Debit.

How long will it take to receive my order?

If you order a Phone or an Accessory, we offer free next-day delivery by DPD if you order between Monday to Thursday before 8pm. If you order a SIM Only Deal or replacement SIM, it’ll be delivered by Royal Mail with a tracked service. This usually takes no more than 2-3 working days to arrive, so keep an eye on your post!

What is your returns policy?

You can return or exchange your purchase, but your options depend on where you bought it:

• If you purchased online at idmobile.co.uk or over the phone: You have a 30-day cooling-off period. Before sending anything back, you'll need to speak to our team on Live Chat to get a Return Transaction Number.

• If you purchased in-store at a Currys store: You have a 14-day cooling-off period. Simply take your purchase back to any Currys store within this time. New plans can be returned or exchanged, while upgrades can be exchanged.

• If you purchased from Carphone Warehouse: You'll need to contact them directly, and they will advise you on their specific returns process.
