Can I keep my old number when switching to iD Mobile?
Yes. You can choose to keep your current number or get a new one. We will also notify your previous network to close your account so you aren't charged for two plans. Check out this Community article for full details.
Will I be credit checked?
Yes, we run a hard credit check when you sign up for a Pay Monthly Phone or SIM Only Deal. If you purchase a Pay as you Go plan, no credit check is required. Read more in our Credit Check guide.
What do I need to bring to a Currys store?
If you are purchasing a Pay Monthly Phone or SIM Only Deal in-store, you must bring a valid bank card in your name. This is required to perform a Chip & PIN check and to set up your Direct Debit.
How long will it take to receive my order?
- Phones and Accessories: We offer free next-day delivery via DPD if you order between Monday and Thursday before 8pm.
- SIM Only: These are delivered by Royal Mail via a tracked service. This usually takes 2-3 working days.
What is your returns policy?
Your return options depend on where you made your purchase:
- Online (idmobile.co.uk) or phone sales: You have a 30-day cooling-off period. You must contact us on Live Chat to get a Return Transaction Number before sending anything back.
- In-store (Currys): You have a 14-day cooling-off period. You must return your purchase to a Currys store.
- Carphone Warehouse: You must contact them directly for their specific returns process.
