Move from 3 network to ID Mobile
As ID Mobile uses the 3 network, can my friend move from 3 network to ID mobile and keep his number?

As long as they are out of contract they can port their number over from any network. Irrelevant that ID use 3 as their backbone.

You can port from any UK network to iD Mobile with the exception of iD Mobile to iD Mobile.
We don't support porting from one account to another and the number would be lost.
To add to what's been said above, he can request a PAC code and port at any time in the contract. But just be aware, if he has time left on his contract, he may incur a termination fee for this.
