WHY does id mobile not support tethering when almost ALL other networks do ?

From your above message, you've confirmed that it's not something all network providers offer or a standard.

However, that said @brianc, although Tethering isn't supported, you may be able to get this to work.

We're hoping that this is confirmed as supported on our network in the coming future but there may not be anything stopping you from using it now.
