RCS on iD Mobile
Hi there, I have a Huawei P20 Lite which I upgraded to on contract with iD about 5 days ago... I have noticed that when I put in a Vodafone SIM card it enables Message+ which is huawei's RCS messaging client. However when I put in my iD SIM card the option goes away... When will we get RCS on iD mobile? I would like to know as I would like the option to use it as I feel it would be useful... Thanks

Unfortunately, RCS Messages is not something that we support on our network at this moment in time. I don't believe we have any plans to adapt this in the pipeworks but It's something we've fed back previously.
I believe Vodafone might be the only network who currently offer this service (I might be wrong here). As we are an MVNO network, we operate using Three UK's masts for coverage. Since Three UK don't offer this service yet, we wouldn't be able to provide the service.

I did some digging here and according to a post made on Three UK's social media page (Facebook) the latest response from Three UK indicates this is not yet enabled. This update was around a week ago.

We don't have any information on this yet, but if we do, it'll be something communicated on our Website/Community.

Hi on Google messages it says that ‘Chat features’ is connected, does that mean iD supports RCS (I pretty sure it dies but just confirming)?
Edit: can confirm RCS is active on iD Mobile. Just tested it on Android/Google Messages from iD to Vodafone (Voxi) and it came up as ‘Rich communication service’
I got rcs working some time ago. Anyone one who has an android phone and uses Googles messages app as their default can get rcs regardless of their network
