incomplete upgrade

I have tried for the last three days to upgrade my phone. Each time it takes a 1p payment but doesn’t complete asking me to phone 7777 (which you can’t at the moment) and states my details aren’t correct. I have attempted the online chat 4 times over two days and each time it gets to the same answer, my details are correct, it’s obviously a network problem and will get back to me. But each time there has been no reply. At this rate I will keep my phone and go to another network! 
I can see others have had answers but what is the issue!
