I have been doing a check on my bank statement. It showed an iD dd andI have not used an iD sim for as long as I can remember. I have therefore cancelled my direct debit. I have been trying to phone the following numbers:

0901 545 5126 £6 minimum charge and no one to speak with

0800 049 0250 no one to speak with

Tried to log in only top find that as I can’t remember my username, iD have sent a SMS to a phone number I don’t use

I then received a threatening email from their debt collectors for £31.

I have phoned them and they have said they will get someone to contact me.

I would class this as an attempt to ‘not allow’ the customer to leave, even after the contract has been fulfilled………… is this legally/morally questionable?

I look forward to your reply, but when?

Have you spoken to our Live Chat Team at all previously?  We’ve been available here for any help as needed to.

None of those numbers you’ve listed above are contact numbers we have active for any iD Mobile related help, so I’m unsure where you’ve found those?

 

Any active subscription with us (same with any network) would remain active and running until notified by the account holder that they wished to cancel. 

Cancelling a Direct Debit would only ever be an indication that you had wished to pay things manually going forward.  Generally speaking most people rely on being reachable through their phone numbers and do not wish to lose them.  So we’d only ever disconnect an account if either: 
a) at the customer request
b) if 3 months of bills went paid consecutively, in which case the service would be cut and outstanding balance passed to a debt collection agency.
