problems with phone since porting over to idmobile

Hi Guys,

I changed over to IDMobile about a month ago, ported my previous number over and downloaded the app. For some reason since then I’ve not been able to send texts reliably,  only iMessages. Those messages sometimes appear as my old number, sometime the number that came with the sim, and  always when I send a text I get a not delivered message even though the message gets through.

 

todays neither the app works nor can I send messages from my phone, honestly the deal I’m on is great, but if it’s not reliable I think I’m going to have to look elsewhere, and cancel my contract.

Sorry to hear you are not having the most pleasant experience so far.

 

Try the following for us and let us know if this works:

1)    Turn off iMessage (Settings > Messages)
2)    Restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)
3)    Tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct. 
4)    If it is not correct, please enter the correct number
5)    Turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)
6)    Finally, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under “Start new conversations from:”. 

 

It may be due to an issue with iPhones and iOS not picking up the new number post port.
