Two numbers on ID - need to set up second one


I recently purchased a new iPhone and gave my old one to my partner. we are both on IT mobile accounts and I need to set his number up on a new account on my old phone. I get so far and I am told that I am an existing customer and please login again. Although I have found several articles on the subject I can’t see a way around the Inability to register again. Can someone help with that please?

Hi @RogerB,

When you are trying to set up the online account for the new phone number, are you using a brand new email address for the username?

Once a mobile phone number has been assigned to a username, this cannot be used again.

There is no opportunity on his phone to enter a user name. Just phone number, surname and DOB. R-

HI @RogerB 

When setting up a new iD account, you can not use the same email address. You will need to use another email address when setting this up. Feel free to do this below:

I think the iPhone he is using is still connected to my iCloud account so it looks like me to ID. Not to worry, we can live without it. Thank you very much for your help. R-
