new Sim casr not working

Hi. I'm new to iD and had my new sim card delivered yesterday, I've inserted sim in to the phone but it tells me to insert card, like It wasn't there, I've tried everything from website to solve the problem but no luck, still same. I've checked if my old sim card from Vodafone will work on a new phone and it does, so no problem with the phone, tried iD sim in few other compatible phones and still same, phones can't see the card. I even dont know my new phone number as nothing was sent to me apart from my sim card, no welcome pack/letter included in the pack so I cant even register on ID mobile. 

Any idea what to do?
