Direct Debit has not been called for

I noticed that the direct debit which always comes out for the same oamount every month has not been called for this month (September). It is supposed to come out on 25th of the month which this month was a saturday. It is now 28th Tuesday. Why has it still not been called for by ID Mobile? I dont want to make an additional payment if your system is just going to call for payment late. Similarly I dont want to not pay the bill and have the phone cut off! What do you suggest? Big problem yesterday as well with the email saying I hadnt paid, and then couldnt get into my account. Now I can get into my account and It is not saying I have a missing payment. whats going on?

Hello @Brian Nelson Waters,

I think there’s been a big problem with the processing of direct debits at iD.

Yesterday lots of customers, who pay by direct debit, got unpaid bill email messages (see here).

Seems like you avoided email warning, but the problem with collecting direct debits may take longer to fix.

You could ask your bank why the payment has not been collected or if you don’t mind waiting, someone from iD will help you in this forum.

Otherwise you could try the iD Live Chat service here for an answer.

in actual fact I did get the email warning, which sent me looking into my bank account which is when I noticed the Direct Debit had not been called for. The bank have advised if it hasnt been called for it wont be collected.

...and TODAY, 4 days late,...the Direct Debit has now been taken from my account, so ‘panic over’ as they say...

Okay @Brian Nelson Waters,

There’s a post in the forum (see here), which says you can disregard the email.

I think iD have got a problem with their billing systems, which means DD payments that should have been collected recently have been delayed.

I believe previously, if a DD was not collected iD tried again 5 days later. 

Anyway if you don’t mind waiting, someone from iD will help you in this forum; otherwise you could try the iD Live Chat service here for an answer.

Hi @Brian Nelson Waters,

Whenever the direct debit date lands on a weekend, the payment will usually come through to us once the new working week has started. Nevertheless, we apologise for the delay and for any confusion and concern caused.
