No caller display on incoming calls through mobile router SIM

I may have asked this question before.  I have a Huawei B535-333 4G Mobile Router which has a port for a landline phone, there are no problems with the internet side of the router it all works OK.  The problem is with receiving phone calls, the phone ‘rings’ as it should but there is no Caller Display and I have tried using several different phones and none have any Caller Display.  I have put the SIM into a mobile phone and the Caller Display shows.  The Caller Display works on outgoing calls (at the called persons end) with the SIM in the router or in a mobile phone.  Huawei suggested I contact my service provider (iD), iD said contact Huawei, so I am getting nowhere.  I wondered if anyone on here had experienced this problem or have any suggestions?

I’ve solved my problem by accident.  I decided to replace my BT Calypso 1100 cordless DECT home phones as they were about 20 years old and were starting to play up.  I replaced them with the Panasonic KX-TGH240 when enables you to connect 2 bluetooth devices as well as a landline, or in my case to the telephone port on my router.  When I had set the phones up I was able to make incoming and outgoing calls with the Caller ID working in both directions. I now have my mobile phones and the router phone line all on one telephone.

From what I know, iD SIM cards aren't made with Mobile routers in mind. It is a budget network after all.

So although your router may be equipped for a land line phone, I think the network just won't be having it.

But ID uses the ‘3’ Network so I can’t see that being the problem, its got to be an obscure setting or a software problem somewhere.  I haven’t tried a SIM from a different network yet, that’s also a possibility.  Thanks anyway!

They may use Three's masts, but they're much cheaper than Three and are ultimately a completely different network.

I'm reckoning that'll be it. Nothing obscure, just won't work. That's why iD don't sell anything like that on their website or promote the use of them.

I might try a ‘3’ SIM, I use them and ID because their speeds are good, over 50mbps, compared to 28mbps on my old landline fibre broadband (and cheaper)
