Question

How do I remove Voicemail notifications when there aren't any

For the past 3-4 weeks I have been getting around 6 voicemail alerts daily on my iPhone X.

There is never an actual phone call or message left.Just an alert that sounds and pops up.

I have tried various suggestions from Apple websites to no avail so am now asking the iD community if they can help.

With iD Mobile, there’s only the option to get an SMS alert for new voicemail messages.

  1. Have you got a screenshot of one of these pop-up alerts on your iPhone X?
  2. Have you joined iD recently?
  3. Have you changed your iD voicemail setting recently?

Hello @cslogg,

Try turning Voicemail on and off

If that doesn’t work, try clearing the cache on your call settings

Failing that, get someone to call you, leave a voicemail, then you listen to it and delete it.

If that still doesn’t work, it may be what’s known as the “phantom voicemail” which needs to be raised to our TechTeam to remove.

Let us know if you need us to send a PM after trying all these.
