We used to send a new SIM with upgrades on a new handset contract. As above, if you upgraded correctly, the new plan will show in the app and your new contract upgraded.
The old SIM will be active so carry on using it.
If both SIMs are active, no new plan shows in the app and the new SIM is active with a new number, let us know as you may have purchased a new contract in error.
