Roaming won’t connect to data

I am roaming with ID for the first time, in Germany. 
My data works fine in the UK. Roaming is switched on in the ID app, and mobile data and roaming switched on in my phone settings. 
My phone connects to the network in Germany fine, and calls/texts work, but it can’t access data. I have full signal bars, and the phone actually says it’s connected to 4G, but still no data. I just get an error message saying it can’t access the data network. 
 

I’ve done all the usuals, toggling data on and off, clearing network settings, reset phone, sim out and back in, changing to 3G only, but no luck. I’ve tried manually connecting to various networks, which works fine, but no data. Also for some reason I can’t find my APN settings anywhere on the phone. The whole menu option has disappeared. Is this something to do with ID? 
 

I’m using an iPhone SE (2020) running iOS 16.

Hey @Cwatki123,

Try this, as it’s likely the APN settings causing the issue here:

Connect the phone to WiFi and then open Safari and head to http://www.unlockit.co.nz/

(this website allows you to manually update APNs where the APN settings can’t automatically be updated or done via the phone settings).

 

Tap Create APN (on the website)
Change the Country to UK
Find iD in the list
Scroll down and tap Create APN
Tap  Allow on the pop-up then Install in the top right corner.

 

Then restart and make sure Data Roaming is turned on and test.
