I want to switch my number to a different network but keep my Idmobile contract using a different number. Is this possible?

You want a PAC, not a PUK.

Getting a PAC code from your network is easy. All you have to do – no matter what network you’re requesting the code from – is text ‘PAC’ to 65075, using the number that you want to keep.

This will end your service with iD Mobile though. You cannot port out and keep the account active with a new number. It’s closed as part of the porting process.

I’ve renamed the topic for clarify.

As @WelshPaul  answered, you’ll need a PAC Code and the easiest way is texting the number above with PAC DDMMYY (where DDMMYY is your date of birth).
