I had my number ported over last Monday, everything was fine. Today I text a friend and its come through as the old, replaced number. Why would this suddenly happen?

Actually it's a common problem across all network's. But hopefully should resolve itself.
What you could to turn phone off and take you sim card out of your phone for a few minutes, and then put your sim card back in to see if this refreshes your details.

Had exactly the same last year with a ported number showing up as the previous number. It should eventually sort itself out. Seems to be a purely ID Mobile problem as I didn’t experience it when moving on and off the underlying Three network.

Please could you remove the SIM and reinsert it after a few minutes.
You can also try and reset your network settings to see if that works.
