Billing CPI Increase

Hi,

I'm checking back through my bill's and my plan price was increased last year.

According to this link because my I took out the contract before 1st November 22 the increase should not have been applied to my contract. I took my contract out in March 22.

Unfortunately @Soldy, the contract terms & conditions agreed at the point-of-sale state for your iD purchase stated it’s subject to annual RPI increases, INSTEAD of CPI increases.

If your iD contract started in March ‘22, then the annual increase is supposed to be based on the RPI, not CPI, @Soldy?

The terms & conditions for a March ‘22 start date include the following:

Historically, RPI has usually been greater than CPI.

Luckily I'm almost out of contact. Back into SIM only to avoid this.

These CPI/RPI +3.9% increases mid contract should be illegal. No point in a contract if the price can be changed. No justification for 4% above inflation increases every year.

The iD Mobile RPI version - of this sneaky behaviour - doesn’t have the X plus 3.9% annual uplift.

All the UK mobile operators do this with handset contracts. On the bright-side iD Mobile SIM only plans don’t have annual price hikes.
