timescales for changing direct debit instructions

I have changed my direct debit details but this is not showing with my new bank. How long does this take?

Most online banking services don’t show a direct debit until the first payment is collected, @Wendy Henson. 

You’ll need to speak to your bank if you want to double-check.

    As @andewhite has kindly advised, it may not show on your bank until the first new direct debit payment on the new date comes out.
