unable to make calls

Phone does not connect can't make any calls 

I have a Samsung phone purchased from ID last year which was suppose to be 5G and up to date. 

Suddenly today I can't make any calls

No nothing to do with 3G my phone samsung A53 was purchased from ID last year so 5G compatible.

It seems there was a problem and engineers were trying to fix it thar morning.  I was back online by 12.

@cjcox, this is likely due to the recent 3G Switch Off, have you followed the steps in this article?

@cjcox - Please note that all UK networks will be switching off their 3G network. Here’s an article about it from MoneySavingExpert:

I have just finished a call with your Complaints person. The very helpful lady is sending me a new SIM which is guaranteed to solve my problem. Watch this space. Maybe I'm not leaving iD??

Been having the same issue for a while now , unable to make calls, both me and partner are on id mobile. Switch on airplane mode and then back off solves the issue. What's going on and is something been done to fix the issue that many are having. My phone is compatible etc and tried all the steps. Seems to be when we go into another area then when we get home we're unable to make calls until we switch airplane mode on then off which solves it until next time.
