Outstanding refund due on closed account

I have closed my account with idmobile and have been informed that there is an outstanding refund due but my direct debit has been cancelled.  How do I receive this money?

From previous experiences (none as yet with iD) ...

The business that owes you money after you’ve ceased/terminated services (and after confirmation from them, you’ve then rightly stopped/cancelled the DD) they will either attempt to return those funds to the bank account details they hold for your closed account.

Or failing that they tend to issue a posted* cheque to whom owned the account and therefore to the address registered for the (now closed) account.

I seem to recall some businesses keep our details for quite a number of years after leaving them🙄

*some will insist on signed for proof of delivery.

 

 

edit. I should have made the above clearer, when I said rightly, this assumes we parted on bad terms.
