Pac transfer not working 09/12/2024

My number is due to transfer over from vodaphone today. The signal has gone on my old phone but nothing has come through on my new phone. I’ve never not had any signal on both phones while doing a number transfer before and I’m concerned that my sim had no service before the number was due to transfer, is this due to a faulty sim?

Unfortunately @Will1995, UK mobile number transfers don’t happen immediately.

Once iD Mobile begin working on your switching request, they’ll have to reprovision their network services for your iD SIM, in order to use the number you wanted to keep on the iD network. This process can take several hours or more.

When I joined iD, 4-5 hours passed after my old provider’s SIM stopped working, before the number I wanted to keep worked properly on the iD network.

Hey there @Will1995, all ports complete between 8am-10pm on the selected date, so if you’ve lost signal on the old SIM, that means it’s in process to complete by 10pm today :)

Thanks,

Tyler

Hey there @Will1995, perfectly normal on the switch over date.

If no signal after 10pm, please restart your phone, and if still no signal, let us know.

Thanks,

Tyler

what should I do now? I’m going away for a few days this week and need signal!

Hi @Will1995

I’m sorry to hear this, my best recommendation would be to try a replacement SIM card, one can be picked up from any Currys store, we can send them out, however if you’re going away for a few days soon, we may be a bit late to that and delivery issues may occur.
