With my bill cap set to zero ( £0) does this also prevent MMS texts from being sent / charged by accident. ? Ie. Does a £0 bill cap prevent ANY additional charges outside of the agreed plan. ?

Yes, setting your iD account bill cap to £0, will prevent ANY out-of-plan charges,
