I’m thinking of getting a 2 year contact 5G unlimited phone data SIM and inserting it into a 5G home broadband router, such as the ZTE MC888 ULTRA or Deco X50-5G. Would this:
1) technologically be possible?
2) be allowed under the terms and conditions?
3) create any problems that I should be aware of, such as speed throttling or data capping?
I have a strong 5G signal where I live, so signal strength isn’t an issue.
Many thanks.

Okay @DJade, unfortunately no UK mobile network offers truly unlimited mobile data - the terms & conditions have caveats about what happens when a customer gets categorised as an excessive user, etcetera.
At iD Mobile they only provide support for SIM cards when used in a mobile phone - iD don’t support use of their SIM products in other devices.
The iD network partner (Three UK) use something called TrafficSense to manage their mobile network - read about it here.

I am confused. The answer above says ‘At iD Mobile they only provide support for SIM cards when used in a mobile phone - iD don’t support use of their SIM products in other devices.
If this is so (ie no mobile broadband), then what do I make of the page at:
Hey there @JonSegar, we don’t offcially support the usage of our SIM cards outside our handset devices, that’s correct. However, we’re aware that some customers do still purchase our SIM cards to do so, and they can sometimes work. Therefore, we provide the information via that link you’ve sent above for these specific customers.
We can only advise that our SIM cards may or may not work outside of the approved handsets, and if they do work, then that’s great.
Nope, we don’t forbid it, however if you use the SIM card in an unsupported device we’ll be limited to how we’re able to support with it should you encounter issues.
