Port forwarding: am I able to accomplish this with ID Mobile?

Hiya,

I’ve done a little bit of research on this topic and most of the answers include changing my APN to 3internet (which does not work - I assume it simply ignores this APN and selects the default ID APN).

I need to do port forwarding with this connection as the current BT gives me a measly 6 mpbs upload, which simply is not enough for any kind of media servers.

Obviously, customer service has been a pain as always so I am trying to find a solution to this task.

Thank you!

iD Mobile data plans use CGNAT, which doesn’t support port forwarding.

Hi @naturelover213

I don’t believe there would be anything on our side specifically blocking this from happening, however please note that our SIM cards are for usage in supported mobile devices only, usage of one in a router or similar may not support all (or any) features.

Hiya! Thanks for your reply. I have found a way around this - our house maintains both a BT and the ID connection. As my router supports adding 2 WAN ports together for faster internet, it can use the BT connection to port forward while maintaining the extra speed.
