Calling and texting Spain from the UK

Hi

I recently traveled to Spain, before going I followed the instructions and checks listed for “Roaming in Spain” and other posts. Before I left for Spain I could not call or text a Spanish (+34) number, on arriving in Spain I received the IDMobile welcome text and could call and text a Spanish (+34) number as well as being able to call and text UK (+44) numbers. On my return to the UK, having not changed any of my phone settings, I could NOT call or text any Spanish numbers again.

When you’re in the UK and call an overseas number, e.g. Spanish (+34) number, this is an International call - not a roaming call.

International calls are not included in your plan’s allowance, but if you’ve turned on the International calling option in your “My iD Account” online, and your bill cap is larger enough, you’ll be able to call a Spanish number.

I’d use WhatsApp if possible.
