Can I use an eSIM on my ID phone?

I bought my phone on an ID contract so assume it’s locked to just the ID network?

I want to buy an eSIM for my South Africa holiday from Saily, but am scared if I add the eSIM it won’t work since it’s locked?

Mobile phone networks in the UK are no longer allowed to sell locked handsets as of December 17, 2021. This means that any mobile phone purchased from a network after this date should be unlocked and usable on any network. However, phones bought before this date may still be locked to a specific network.

Hi @Beatrice Cooper

Nope, devices purchased from iD Mobile are not locked to our network, you are free to put another SIM card inside it.
