I’ve got a voice mail but can’t get it because my voice mail pin is not set up. When I try to call +44 7782 333 123 from my phone, the system says “call us from your ID number” - but this is exactly what I do! Any other secret way of doing this? Or better do it online somehow? I’m in one of free roaming destinations.

Hi
You will have needed to have set up your voicemail pin whilst in the UK. If this hasn’t been done, then using your voicemail while abroad won’t work.
