Data roaming in NYC America not working


I added a 5 day America data roaming add-on yesterday to my son's account (account in my name but provided for my son) however he can't get any data.

I have followed all the advice on the forum last night, however still not able to connect.(See images of things tried.)

I added this data to help him and me feel safe while out there, it is very concerning that this is not working. Looking at the forums this seems to be a regular issue, one that I never had when with 3UK direct. I wish iD Mobile would say upfront if they can't offer the service, it would have made a difference to know this upfront.

Please can someone fro iD Mobile assist here?

If Roaming is enabled on your account and the device, and you’ve tried manually connecting to each network and it still doesn’t work, maybe try performing a network reset? There is little else you can do! 

The Roam Beyond add-on is unreliable, going by the many posts on here from users complaining it hasn’t worked for them. 🫤

As a last resort, maybe try speaking to a live chat agent so they can check your account for any issues? Just tell the bot that you want to ‘speak to an agent’.

Did you enable roaming and add the add-on prior to leaving the UK? 

If so, what phone does he have? Has he enabled roaming on the device? iPhone it’s:

Settings > Mobile Service > Data Roaming > On

I added the data add on whilst he was on the flight, as unlike on 3UK where the clock starts ticking once you connect to the abroad network, the iD Mobile clock starts ticking as soon as you buy it.

The data roaming was set to on before he left the UK.

It is an Android phone, setting on it are correct. (I know the one screen shot in original message refers to iPhone, but it's advice stood just a different process for Android.)

As with iD Mobile the clock starts ticking as soon as you buy the add-on (unlike on 3UK where it starts when you connect to the abroad network) I added the data add-on while he was in the air. (I have responded with this info before, but it is not showing in the chain, forgive the duplication if the original response later appears.)
