Despite paying extra, roaming not working

I  bought roaming for switzerland. I . As a vulnerability customer myself, and  with a child with cancer, I can't get hold of my medical team in the UK, not could they get hold of me!! ID has locked my phone for in, and outgoing texts and calls. It has taken 3 days on a live chat to be told it a GLITCH. A mistake on IDs side.  ID has made a mistake. Switzerland roaming doesn't work, even when paying extra. . They "kindly" reimbursed the roaming charge they falsely took from me. For medical reasons. I have to go to Switzerlandfor a few times a year.   I can't use a mobile service that doesn't allow me to purchase roaming. IDs answer to that? " buy a local sim". I need my phone number! IDs answer? Fixed my spending cap to £50, making it impossible for me to put it higher, afraid i will have to make calls which i cant pay. . I have been a mobile customer for dozens of years with Three and EE. Never ever had such terrible service. They will not allow me to cancel my contract despite not providing basic services. I would have hoped that getting confirmation about my child's cancer and medical need to be in switzerland would have helped.  . No such luck. Shameful

Welcome to the Community!

Sorry to hear about the issues that you have experienced whilst roaming in Switzerland.

Unfortunately in some cases roaming may not work in certain areas, this is due to the coverage that our network partners provide.

iD Mobile isn’t able to guarantee coverage everywhere. I would advise trying to connect to Swisscom, Salt or Sunrise whilst in Switzerland.

Did the team carry out some troubleshooting with you?

Its not that it works st dome places it doesn't work

 

They tried. Nothing worked. Its actually msf that ID tried to call me to discuss the matter but couldn't get through because my phone won't work! I even borrowed money to be in credit, hoping ID will allow incoming calls.at least if the money is sitting there, for them to immediately take. No such luck. I really cannot be with a mobile company where they cut  us off our medical team each time we have to leave the UK. Its ateocious
