I can’t make international calls to Malaysia please help

I am trying to make an international call. My bill cap is active, my settings have all be configured correctly but when I try to call I keep getting texts from ID telling me there are extra charges, and all the calls keep going to voice mail.

 

please help.

So you have set international up on your account and have a bill cap set higher than £0, lets say £5. And when you dial 0060 followed by the number you want to call and your call goes to their voicemail?

Is this simply a case that the person you are calling has not set their phone to receive international calls as they would likely be billed for incoming calls from you in the UK to them in Malaysia too?

Hi,

I am trying to call a branch of an international bank in Malaysia, it is a 0060 number.

My bill cap is set to £15.

It is not on the receivers side as this is a dedicated international number and I was able to call them from my wife’s mobile.

Out of interest ​@iishanami is your wife’s phone also with iD Mobile?

 

And as I suggested earlier, you have turned on international via your account -

Using either the iD Mobile app or online account go to → Plan → Manage your iD services → toggled International to on → scrolled down and clicked save

Well it sounds like you’ve ticked all the right options then ​@iishanami 

 

One more suggestion from me would be to try turning on Premium too via the account, just to see if this is somehow inhibiting the calling function. Other than that I can’t think of a reason why it’s not allowing you to call.
