Hey there ​@Banstee, sorry to hear that. If it’s coming from abroad, have you enabled international and roaming settings via both the iD Mobile app/website, and also via your phone’s own settings?

 

You may also need to enable premium settings via the iD Mobile app/website. 

 

Do you receive other texts and one-time passcodes okay?

Hello Tyler, international settings are On, and roaming is enabled. I receive tops from other sources ie UK banks with no problems. All setting on my phone are enabled as well as far as I can tell.

Hello Tyler, I don't need to pay the 5 pound charge for international calling to receive a message from India do I?

Hey there ​@Banstee, you wouldn’t need to purchase the add-on for roaming no, as this is only for data. You should be able to receive texts free of charge from India in the UK as far as I’m aware. Can you please try changing your bill cap on the iD Mobile app/website to something like £5.00 and see if this allows it to come through? As mentioned, you shouldn’t be charged, but this could help push it through. If it doesn’t work, of course you can change your bill cap back to £0.00 or whatever you’d like. 

 

Do you also have premium features enabled on the iD Mobile app/website please?

Hello Tyler my bill cap is set to £49. But nothing had come from India.

Ahh okay, thank you for letting us know ​@Banstee. Have you contacted the company to see if their’s any issues their end with sending texts, or sending texts to the UK?

I have a contact in India who I am trying to resolve the situation with, but I just wanted to be sure I am doing everything right at my end, regarding my phone and network settings.

Hey there ​@Banstee, from what you’ve mentioned, all seems to be provisioned correctly. Please reach out to this contact or the Indian bank themselves and see if it’s an issue their end or what they suggest, and if the issue persists, please get back in touch and we’ll take a further look for you.

 

I’d also recommend resetting your network settings to see if this helps at all.

Hey there ​@Banstee, for most Android to reset network settings, please follow the below;

 

Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth.

 

Resetting network settings will NOT reset any personal data (Photos, Videos, Contacts etc) only network settings.

I am new to this community but have been using iD mobile for more than 2 years. I was unable to get much help from ID Helpdesk as I dont think I could reach out easily. My issue is i am not getting a normal SMS from an International number. Thus I am unable to get OTP for international banking or other activities. I always used to get it with ID Mobile but dont anymore. 

 

I have asked friends to send me SMS from India and it does not reach. I have a dual SIM and I do get SMS in that number. So phone is Okay. The network settings from Banks in India is good as other networks are getting it and I used to get it few months back on ID too. As multiple SMS from different friends and families is not reaching me, that means the problem is in this end. I just tried to activate a banking app and it failed. No OTP received, just some garbled up alphabets and numbers. 

I need to sort it out as it is essential for my affairs. Please help.

Have you checked your number with the Bank?

Please ensure that they have the correct dialling code 0044 or +44 before the number.

Hi Kash, As I wrote, I am not receiving ANY international SMS. It is not just the banks but my friends or family too have tried. The text does not come. From the bank, I an getting some jumbled alphabets. 

 

Is this the only way to talk to customer service. Or is there a number I can ring or talk or get a call back. I might have to leave ID Mobile if this is not sorted.
