Mobile Data Abroad

I'm trying to use an iD Mobile sim in a TP Link M7350. I'm pretty certain that it worked when I set it up in the UK but now that I'm in France, it connects but won't allow any internet access. Any suggestions.

Check this Id Mobile FAQ article for the required APN setting:

Most of the settings listed are not required for the M7350. Worked for me whilst roaming in France.

Hi @JonathanFAyres

Unfortunately the TP Link is not a supported device with iD Mobile, you may experience issues whilst using this device with an iD SIM.

The failure to connect is due to incorrect dialup settings in the M7350 when the iDmobile SIM is used. It only shows one profile for Three and not an option to select an iDmobile specific profile.

I have tested this by using a Giff Gaff SIM with roaming (whilst in France). The default profile loaded when roaming is shown as O2 (their network partner) and the connection fails. There is an option in the profile drop down to use a Giff Gaff specific profile and when this is selected the connection is successful and internet becomes available to connected devices.

As the iDmobile settings tool does not recognise the M7350 as a supported device, it cannot be used to set the correct profile parameters.
