I am currently abroad and I have been wondering if I upgrade my current contract as I am eligible will that reset th3 30GB Data allowance or ic I switch to another plan would that also reset the data allowance.

I would assume upgrading should reset the the allowance as its technically a new contract/plan.

Hey there @Patryk94, thank you for reaching out.

So the 30GB fair usage policy is for contracts/upgrades passed 20th June 2023. Therefore, if you bought a plan before then, you’d be able to use as much data as your allowances have abroad with no further charge.

So to answer your question, if you were to upgrade now, you’d then be subject to the 30GB fair usage policy abroad from then on.

Thanks,

Tyler

Thanks for the information Tyler, dose this still apply to 1 month contracts because I have mine since may 2023

Alas, new terms apply when you start or upgrade an iD contract, @Patryk94

The latest terms seem to limit EU roaming data to up to 30GB of your UK data allowance.

Hi @Patryk94

If your contract began in May 2023 and hasn’t been upgraded since, you’ll have your full allowance while roaming in inclusive zones.
