Network used when roaming South Africa

What network(s) in South Africa does ID mobile enable you to use when roaming there?

I ask because reading one or two posts some people appear to have had issues with the “roam beyond” ID add ons that they’ve purchased - either not working at all or unsure which network they can / can’t use.

Any & all help would be much appreciated.

 

Ps. I know I can use free wifi and buy a local SIM for data when out there, however then I wouldn’t be able to receive text messages to my normal mobile number from the UK (my phone only has 1 SIM slot and I don’t think it supports Esims).

Hey there ​@Jason101, thank you for reaching out. The below networks are available to use on our network whilst abroad:

 

 

If you do wish to purchase a DATA only add-on for South Africa, then we’d recommend purchasing before going abroad whilst still in the UK, on the day you head out.

      Many thanks for the SA network info Tyler, and I take your point about purchasing a data add-on on the day I’m heading out.

      As I may possibly stay for a little longer than 10 days can you confirm that I’ll be able to purchase a further ID mobile add-on out there if necessary after my initial 10 day period?

      Hey there ​@Jason101, you’re very welcome! Yes of course, you can definitely purchase an add-on whilst abroad still. Please note to purchase an add-on whilst abroad, you will need to be connecting to your data or Wi-Fi at that time.
