No data abroad

I am abroad in Belgium but am unable to get Internet access. I have the sim card in a router not in a mobile phone but can access the settings. The router seems to connect to a provider ie proximus but it loses that connection quickly. Can you please provide some suggestions to get access.

Hey there ​@Elaine66, sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, we only support the usage of our SIM cards inside handsets, and the ones approved on our website. We don’t officially support the usage of our SIM’s inside a router, so we cannot advise why it isn’t working properly, we can only advise that it may or may not work. If it’s not working, it’s likely as it’s not supported.

Hello. I have taken the sim out of the router and put it in a phone. It has changed the app to id and shows as connected to nl kpn but I still cannot access the Internet. I have tried using it is a portable hot-spot and whilst it seems to connect with another device, there is still no internet connection. Help would be appreciated.

Hi there ​@Elaine66, sorry to hear that. Have you tried restarting the phone and resetting network settings?

 

What phone is the SIM inside please, and have you enabled roaming via both your iD Mobile account and your phone’s own settings?
