Overseas data usage end of contract.

Both my wife & I have the old contract that gave us unlimited data in Europe, not the current 30 gig.

We will both soon be out of contract, have been contacted saying we can continue without renewing contract.

My question is,as we are both still under the terms of our old contract’s, we should still have access to unlimited data, under the terms of our old contracts.

We have never even gone close to using the 30gig, but it would be nice to know, especially as there is another company offering everything included unlimited data throughout Europe.

Hi @NICKWOOD1329

I’d recommend checking the fair usage policy on this one, if your plan began on/before 20/06/23 you can use your full allowance while in inclusive zones.

Plans beginning on/after 21/06/23 would be limited up to 30GB.

Sorry to butt-in here @NICKWOOD1329, which other company is offering everything, including unlimited data roaming, throughout Europe?

Thanks for the reply Tom, but my query is, I haven’t cancelled my old contract & id mobile says I am still on it until I cancel or change it. My point is I am still therefore on a pre 21 06 2023 contract so I should still have unlimited roaming?

I am after a definitive answer because I could get a new contract with idmobile far cheaper but only have 30gig.

@NICKWOOD1329, yes if your previous contract was taken on or before 20th June 2023 you’ll be subject to the Fair Usage Policy of that contract:

https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/eu-roaming/fair-usage-policy#before-june-2023

If you Upgrade or take out a new contract, that’ll be subject to our new Fair Usage Policy:

Thanks.
