Roam Beyond in India - Don't bother it's a scam

My second trip to India where I have bought a Roam Beyond add on.
The first time (last year) the roaming did not work and I spent all week with someone supporting me through these pages trying to get it to work without success

I’ve just returned from a second trip - Spent £30 on a Roam Beyond roaming data add on.  Guess what?  It didn’t work

I tried manually selecting different operators, checking phone settings, rebooting the phone…  No joy.

So my message to anyone else with ID is don’t even bother trying the Roam Beyond add on in India

How can ID sell these add ons when they do not work.  IT’S A SCAM


I am in the process of raising a complaint.

Maybe a data-only eSIM with a travel plan for India would be a better option for your next trip, ​@Bebaca

Google “travel eSIM for India” for some options. 

If none of your add-on data was used on either trip, just ask iD for a refund.

I would ​@andewhite - If I could find a way to contact them.
As I’ve been travelling (and will be for several more days) I’ve not been in a position to speak to a human and there’s no way to raise a support ticket or a complaint online.
Now looking at alternatives to ID as previous interactions with the support team left me unimpressed - relying on a customer forum is not a substitute for good customer service.

I've not managed to raise a complaint yet as the button to raise a complaint is not there.

The issue is very simple 

I have twice bought a Roam Beyond for India.  On both trips the roaming has not worked.

I would like a full refund 

iD Mobile should not sell a product unless they can guarantee it works.  My post was to alert other customers travelling to India not to waste their money

From a previous customer on here that went to India in the last 3 months: Ive purchased the add on. Its let me connect to Airtel 5G and so far so good. 🙏🏻

Tried every available operator - no joy.

Spent ages on the first trip with someone from ID support trying every possible phone setting, multiple reboots etc. Nothing 

Roaming works perfectly in Europe so it's not the phone
