Hello @frithwoodsmith

Thank you for getting in touch with us here on the community.

We are very sorry to hear of the issues whilst roaming.

To confirm, are you still in Florida or back in the UK?

Thanks,

I’d mobile support have direct messaged me and have agreed to refund the cost, wasn’t too much hassle ( assuming they do it).  So I would recommend . Asking id mobile support ( via a chat) to message you direct.  I’ve used Airalo ESims in the past and will do so in future, they always work without issue and cheaper, so recommend you look at that.

I have the same issue.  I am also in Florida.

I too bought a 10 day extension.

Should I buy an esim locally?

I always use Airalo,  it’s an app you can download and then you just buy virtual sims do no need to physically insert. They supply pretty clear instructions to follow-always worked fir me.

Hi @IanMor and @Nichken

We are sorry that you are experiencing the same issue.

Can you please confirm which networks you have attempted to connect to?

All available Verizon, AT&T and T-mobile.

As I need data when away from my hotel wifi I have bought a separate esim which is working fine.

Hey there @IanMor, no problem, we’re sorry our SIM isn’t working, and we’re glad to hear the eSIM is.

If by the end of your holiday the add-on didn’t work at all, please get back in touch with us, and we’d be more than happy to refund you the cost.

Sorry once again.

Thank you,

Tyler

This won't help everyone, but after trawling the internet I have discovered that in the USA  you cannot connect to the AT&T network to make calls (although data may work) if you have a Chinese phone (Huawei, Xiaomi) no matter what your roaming deal is. Unfortunately AT&T is the preferred partner for 3 ( whose network Id leases). Manually changing your roaming network to TMobile or another id roaming partner should fix the problem. It worked for me and my wife. Hopefully this will help someone.
