Roaming


Hi, my roaming is on in the ID mobile app, but I can't turn it on in the settings on my Samsung phone, it's a dull grey instead of being a bold grey option.

I also have this problem, couldn't turn it on when abroad, since come home to the UK and still can't turn it on. Says roaming is on on my I'd services but greyed out to turn on in settings. Following this thread for solution hopefully!

Sorry to hear that, you should be able to toggle it from the UK, it might not be possible to toggle when already abroad.

 

Have you tried resetting network settings?

 

For iPhone;

Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

 

For most Android;

Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth

 

For Samsung; 

Settings > General management > Reset > Reset mobile network settings

 

Resetting network settings will NOT reset any personal data (Photos, Videos, Contacts etc) only network settings.

Hi, 

I just tried it again with mobile network turned off, Reset, turned phone off and on again. Tried it with mobile network turned on, Reset, and then turned phone off and on again nd it's still greyed out... 😬

Hey there ​@HannahKD, if data roaming is greyed out, this typically points towards a system or device issue as opposed to our network, and may indicate a fault with the device itself, as I don’t believe we can turn this back on for you. I’d recommend contacting your phone manufacturer in the initial instance to see what they suggest and if they can resolve this for you, and then let us know how you get on.

Hi All

 

I'm told because I left the UK with my roaming switched of on my device it won't turn on when I arrive in Spain even if it shows roaming is turned on on my ID app.

You have to switch roaming on before leaving the UK.
