Roaming Charges

I was sitting in Wetherspoons pub in Ramsgate Kent last night I logged into the pubs free network & found that my phone time increased by 1 hour & it appeared that the network assumed that I was in France i tried to alter my phone settings without luck, when I drove home later in the day  my phone time altered to the correct time, why would this happen it makes no sence why did my phone assume I was roaming when I was not

    Do you have data roaming enabled on your device settings? We would recommend turning this off.

     

    If you’re near the coast or if the conditions are right, you may end up connecting to a foreign network, ferry or cruise ship.
