Roaming enabled but not working. Help?!


I’ve just got to Canada and my data roaming isn’t working. I have checked my id mobile app and roaming is enabled. Roaming is enabled on my phone. I’ve done all the steps on the id mobile roaming issue FAQ, I’ve reset my phone and nothing. It connects to a service provider and I have signal and even have a 4G / 5G icon appear but as soon as I try to use an internet tab it says cannot connect to server! Any help please?

I’d recommend attempting to manually connect to Telus, Bell, Eastlink, Wind and Videotron to see if this helps.

 

Is the issue only with data? How are calls and texts?

Hi,

Have you checked your iD account, that the bill cap isn’t set to 0? As data is at a whopping 9.60£/mb, your bill cap should be at 10£ or over if on to use data. If it is to 0, you will not be able to make calls, texts or data.

Thanks for your suggestion but my cap is set to £75. I was hoping your suggestion would be the solution but unfortunately not. I’ve got no idea!

Interesting but also worrying. Try cycling between the Canadian networks manually and look for the one which works with data. Networks available to iD customers: Bell, Rogers, SaskTel, Telus and Videotron.
