I am currently on holiday in one of the Canary Islands meaning my data roaming should work seen as it is in band 1 for roaming. But for some reason the roaming is not working at all I am unable to send or receive any texts at all the only time my phone works is when I can connect to WiFi which is not often due to being on holiday. How can I fix this

Hi @Erin McKergow

I’m sorry to hear this, please could you try a manual connection to either Yoigo or Movistar instead of automatic network selection?

If the above doesn’t work, please also try a network settings reset;

For iPhone;

Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

For most Android;

Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth

For Samsung;

Settings > General management > Reset > Reset mobile network settings

Resetting network settings will NOT reset any personal data (Photos, Videos, Contacts etc) only network settings.

Hi Tom,

thanks for the info but I have actually tried all of this and none has worked so I am really at a loss. I have even tried to contact ID but I have been getting nowhere with them, the so called live chat only lets me chat to the bot and it gives me the same answer every time and all it’s says is to go to the link about roaming which has given me no help and I have even tried to phone the number listed for ID which has also been pointless as it is automated and says the same thing over and over and never gives me the option to actually talk to someone. So if you have any other advice that would be great thanks.

Okay @Erin McKergow, have you tried telling the annoying 24/7 iD Mobile chatbot you want to “talk to a person”?
