I have not been able to connect in France or Belgium. I'm going to Germany tomorrow and I'm fully expecting the same problem.

I have turned on data roaming and I have more than enough data available and allowed WiFi calling. But can not connect to the internet or make or receive calls. When I try, I get an English message telling me that the call can't be connected.

This is extremely frustrating and I am SO close to changing my provider.

I have a OnePlus phone. The same thing happened last year when I had a Samsung. So it's not the fault of the phone.

Thanks in anticipation for your support

Suzi

Hey @Suzi Griffin,

Did you figure out a resolution? Is Data Roaming enabled on both your phone AND in the iD Mobile app?

Thanks.

I have data roaming on, switched my phone on/off and it still does not work. It worked in Iceland a short while ago.

Is the roaming enabled in the ID Mobile app? Weirdly it is off by default

Open the ID Mobile app

Click Plan on the bottom

Go to Manage ID Services

Select roaming

I used my roaming in Spain and Latvia in literally the last month with no issues

Hi @Leopard69

Have you checked as @L0rdvega suggests? It could be switched off in the app.

I have just had the exact same problem in France and Belgium. Roaming is switched on in the app and on the phone but nothing. I used a Lebara sim and it worked perfectly as did giffgaff and Lyca. I have decided  it is time to leave

Did anyone get a solution to this? Just wait it out? I have tried everything to reset mobile data and kinda need it abroad. Any help would be great :)

Same issue here. I'm in France and it's just stopped after 4 days of being fine. No fixed work, both Samsung and ID related.

Hi @CourtneyHJH, @Awrah,

We're aware that some customers are unable to use Mobile Data (4G/5G) abroad. Our team is working with our network partner, Three UK, to fix this as soon as possible.

While we fix this, you can try switching your phone to Airplane mode for 60 seconds. Turn it back off after the 60 seconds are up, and your mobile data should reconnect.

We're sorry for the disruption and thank you for your patience.

For the latest updates, please visit our Service Status page for details.

Thanks.

@Matthew T Ive also had this problem.  I have been in France twice over the last month and both times roaming would not connect on my iPad.  I did report to iD on chat after the first time and was told it should work and everything was set up correctly.  Second trip - same problem.  I am away again in a couple not weeks.  Has this been fixed or can i cancel and move to another provider that works?

Regards

Simon

Hi @Simonscubasimon,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and I’m really sorry to hear about the issues you’ve experienced.

When roaming abroad, it’s important to make sure your phone is connected to a supported network partner. In France, the recommended networks are Orange, Free Mobile, BYTEL or BOUYGTEL.

If you’re still experiencing issues after connecting to one of these networks, please let us know and we’ll be happy to help further.

Regards,
