travelling to the maldives

Hey all, we are travelling to the Maldives soon and I’d like to no if I can use roaming and my current mins texts whilst there?? If not what add ons do I need please?

Unfortunately ​@Kayliegh-anne Cork, you cannot use your UK plan allowances in the Maldives nor do iD have an add-on product for the Maldives. 

Roaming in the Maldives using you iD SIM will be expensive (see below): 

If you have a dual SIM phone with eSIM capability, a data-only eSIM with a travel plan for the Maldives might be a cheaper option. 

Try a Google search like “Maldives travel eSIM” for some options.

Thank you so much for your response, I had a feeling this was the case, how do I make sure I dont get charged? Ie how to switch off roaming etc? Will I still get charged if I use my phone when it’s connected to WiFi?

Okay ​@Kayliegh-anne Cork, to avoid being charged simply set the bill cap for your account to £0.
