I’m going to Australia in October and hiring a car to travel on the Great Southern Highway for 3-4 days. Can I use  my UK phone and data plan for using Google Maps en route or should I buy a SIM card in Australia? I have 200GB of data on my phone currently. I’ll use WhatsApp on wi--fi for calls, photos, etc to UK. Or should I add to the hire and book Sat Nav.

Thanks

Hey @Anne Marley,

Looks like Australia is pretty price for Roaming. You can leave your iD Mobile SIM switched on to RECEIVE calls and texts free of charge. Please refer to this link for information about charges:

I’d recommend picking up a Data Only SIM or eSIM for Australia.

Thanks.
