Leaving within 14 days & PAC code use.

Okay @Kashinoda, you need to wait until your cooling-off period return has been processed by iD Mobile. When iD process your return, your iD account (set-up for your new network connection) is converted from pay monthly to PAYG. Once your iD account becomes PAYG, you can get a PAC to switch (the number you want to keep) to another provider.

Okay @Beed, should you decide to leave, do be sure to get a returns authorisation in your cooling-off period - don’t cancel your iD contract. This forum article explains the return process.

How can I view my current roaming usage?

Thank you for your answer. I used roaming data about 4 days ago and it isn't there yet. Would it be there before my bill is calculated in another ten-days or so? I used roaming to message my family, but I forgot to turn off the updates over cellular data 😑 Unfortunately @Augusto Toshihiro Uehara, the details won’t be available before your next iD bill is calculated.

Does your late husband’s SIM work in your old Huawei P20 Lite, @Chris247? The ‘new’ iD app should not be inhibiting anyone’s ability to make & receive calls, nor send & receive text messages.Perhaps in your circumstances, @Chris247, it’s worth looking at the “Accessibility on iD Mobile” page on the iD website.Check online at https://www.idmobile.co.uk/legal/accessibility - there’s vulnerable customer information.

calling UK from Europe

Hi, I have replied to the PM yesterday afternoon, could the team please review the 3 previous conversations the online chat team to gather info already supplied. I really need to get this sorted out today please. Unfortunately @Susan A Wales, communications with iD in the iD community are pedestrian at best. Staff from iD have said, in other forum posts, it can take 72-hours or longer for them to reply to a PM. It’s always quicker to use online iD Live Chat, or send private messages via their social media pages, using Facebook Messenger, or X (formerly Twitter).

Not sure why you need the first issue sorted, @Elwinny. You should be able to switch from your old provider to iD Mobile without registering first, which can be done online from https://switching.idmobile.co.uk/. You can use the iD Live Chat service without being registered - an online adviser can process your PAC.

There are probably many disappointed iD customers, @Vik90245. The project to deploy a ‘new’ iD app and “My iD Account” online service appears to have been somewhat disruptive for customers.Anyway, check your usage by calling 7777 from your iD SIM, or 0333 003 7777 from another device.

Okay @Elwinny, your original post mentioned you want to transfer your old number to iD Mobile.You don’t need to register with iD in order to transfer your number using a PAC from your old service provider.

If that what’s shown on the claim page, seems you’re in-luck, @jainvikas8? Normally, your purchase invoice would be emailed to you, or dispatched with your order item. Should you change your mind @jainvikas8, don’t cancel your iD contract - instead you’ll need a returns authorisation, obtained within the cooling-off period.

Billed Twice for the Same Period

I’ve been with ID Mobile for my 2 childrens numbers since February 25th. Bill February £8 per number, March £8 per number (which is what I signed up for) April’s bill says £11.64 per number and it’s got an additional £3.03 on each bill for a period of time already paid for in previous bills. Why am I being charged for the same period again. February I was invoiced for 25/2-24/3 March it was 26/3 to 24/4 and now April it says 25/4 to 24/5/24 (which is correct) plus 25/3 to 21st April which I already paid in March? WHY? Looks like something has gone wrong with the billing, @lewis1910. From dates listed in your post, looks like iD did not bill for 25th March 2024.

Okay @Dbrough, inclusive roaming only applies to 50 EU destinations - USA is not included.For roaming in the US, the iD account bill cap would need to be high enough to allow for any charges incurred while roaming in the US. If the account bill cap was £0, you’d only be able to receive SMS text messages.This article explains how to ensure your handset is set-up for roaming use.
