I have iPhone14’s (2) which were bought in July2023 on a 2 year contract. So contract is finished in just over a months time. I saw on other posts about people leaving the cancellation to the last minute as otherwise they’d be charged up to the end of the contract. But by my reckoning when I make my payment next week I’ll have made 24 payments so surely I will have fully paid my contract up. So if i give 30 days notice at the right time surely there will be nothing else to pay when i move to a SIM only deal with a new supplier as my contract expires. I’d be grateful if anyone could tell me if I’m reading it wrong as this is the first time I’ve had a contract.
Contract ending in just over 30 days

Yes thats the plan I’m on since i bought my phone new 2 years ago. . So if I cancel my account today is that me then on 30 days notice ? It’s just the 30 day thing isn’t mentioned when I’m looking at the How to Leave info. If i cancel today can I then come back closer to the 30 day end date and get a PAC code in order to take my number to a new supplier ? I’ve got a ridiculouly cheap offer to move so won’t be staying with ID mobile.
If you give 30-day notice of cancellation today, your iD account will be closed in 30-days time, and your iD Mobile number will be disconnected from the iD network, and recycled for use elsewhere at a latter date.
Alternatively, you could use a PAC to close your iD account,
Your iD account would then be closed when you transfer the number (you want to keep) to a new supplier, and the final iD bill produced the day after switching.
