Why is it so difficult to contact someone at iD? Can't wait for me contract to end so that I can join a service that I can talk to.

Hi there ​@Philip Childs, sorry you feel this way. We have many ways in which you can speak to us. We’re contactable here, via our live-chat, and via our Facebook and Twitter/X pages. We’re also contactable via both our complaints and vulnerable customer teams.

I'm trying to claim back a monthly payment that I sent twice last week. None of the methods of communication you mention allow me to 'speak' to anyone.

Whilst we don’t have a phone number for general customer services, on Facebook and Twitter you’ll always be talking to a person, and on Live Chat once the bot has asked it’s initial questions, you’d be through to a live agent.

 

We’ll shortly send you a Private Message to your Community account, so we can discuss your issue further.

I'm 68. I don't type very quickly so I feel pressurised in these 'chat' situations. In this case, I did try to use the chat option but I couldn't get past your 'bot' because it/he/she/they didn't recognise my questions so I never got the opportunity to 'chat' with a live agent.

Okay, we’ve sent you a private message, there’s no pressure to respond too quickly, we’re not a live chat service there so wouldn’t quite work that way, same with Facebook and Twitter.
