It’s just becoming a bit of a joke now, at the point now where I cannot make a phone call all day  due to the lack of service from ID mobile. No sound at all for outgoing calls, we have three contracts with ID mobile in the house and all three of them have been having this issue for months now and we are getting nowhere with trying to sort it.

some days we aren’t even receiving incoming calls, no notification of a missed call either

Doesn’t sound ideal, @Dornoch

Given your issues have been going on for months, and iD Mobile apparently can’t fix these issues with their network services, perhaps it’s time to switch everyone to another service provider.

Hello @Dornoch

Thank you for getting in touch.

We are very sorry to hear of the issues you have been experiencing with the service, we appreciate this must be frustrating.

Can you please let us know what the team have advised regarding investigating the issue?

If you are able to provide the postcode for where the issues occur, we would be happy to look in to this further.

Thanks,

Nat

I think its a simple case of your  network and support is going down the pan. Calls drop all the time for no reason , Some days you cant make calls and its getting so unreliable . I think its time you either switched us ALL to a network that works or allow us to all leave without charges. We can return the handsets and start with a better network with better support and reliability .

Hey there @crewbean, we did indeed have an outage with some calls/texts yesterday. The outage has now been resolved, calls and text messages should now be working again as usual. If you're still having issues, we'd recommend restarting your phone

We sincerely apologise for the inconveniences caused and really thank you for your patience.

Hi @simini,

I’m really sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues.

Just to make sure I can point you in the right direction, could you please confirm if the problem you’re having is specifically that there is no sound on your phone, or if it’s something else entirely?

Once I have a bit more detail, I’ll be able to advise you on the best next steps.

Regards,

thanks Gemma I have an esim and for some reason over the weekend it would not allow me to make outgoing calls. The call shows on my phone as calling but there is no ringing tone. I have had the online chat experience with ID mobile who weren’t very helpful reset my network settings etc and now when out I could not access any internet either. I feel like I am paying £15 a month for a brick and would not recommend this network to anyone sadly.

Hi @simini,

Thank you for sharing, Could you tell me if the calls eventually connected and if the issue is still happening today. I myself experienced an issue similar to this but it only occurs when calling specific numbers, so the issue could be directly linked to specific numbers.

If the issue is still ongoing, could you please try the below steps depending on the type of device you have.

For Android phones:

(Works for most brands like Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, etc.)

1. Check Do Not Disturb (DND)

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap Sound & vibration (or Notifications)
  • Tap Do Not Disturb
  • Turn it OFF

2. Check call barring / blocking

  • Open the Phone app
  • Tap the 3 dots (menu)
  • Go to Settings
  • Tap Calling accounts or Supplementary services
  • Look for Call barring
  • Make sure Outgoing calls are allowed

3. Reset network settings

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap General management (or System)
  • Tap Reset
  • Tap Reset network settings
  • Confirm

This will remove saved Wi-Fi passwords

4. Check SIM card

  • Turn off your phone
  • Remove the SIM card
  • Put it back in properly
  • Turn the phone on again

For iPhones

1. Check Do Not Disturb / Focus mode

  • Open Settings
  • Tap Focus
  • Tap Do Not Disturb
  • Turn it OFF

2. Check Silence Unknown Callers

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap Phone
  • Tap Silence Unknown Callers
  • Turn it OFF

3. Check Call Blocking & Forwarding

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap Phone
  • Tap Call Blocking & Identification
  • Make sure nothing important is blocked

Also:

  • Tap Call Forwarding
  • Make sure it’s OFF

4. Reset network settings

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap General
  • Tap Transfer or Reset iPhone
  • Tap Reset
  • Select Reset Network Settings

5. Update iOS

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap General
  • Tap Software Update
  • Install any available updates

If it still doesn’t work

  • SIM card issue (damaged or expired)
  • Phone hardware issue
  • Try your SIM in another phone.

If this does not work, please answer the below questions so that we can take the next steps into getting this resolved.

  • Your exact phone model
  • What happens when you call (e.g., silent, ends immediately, error message)

Regards,
